Delaney is a rising Junior at Hickory High School. She is an upcoming editor of Hickory High School's newspaper, "The Hawkeye," an upcoming editor-in-chief of "The Bird's Eye View" Literary Magazine, and currently the vice president of Hickory's Gay Straight Alliance. She has also been a volunteer with Chesapeake Humane Society since she was 12.
