Noah Daboul, a 17-year-old senior at Maury High School, has loved to play and write music for years. Out of the 13 instruments he plays, the guitar is his favorite. His love for guitar started when he was 12 and his cousin played “Sweet Child O’ Mine” by Guns N’ Roses.  He says when he heard it, he thought, “Wow! This is pretty cool!”

Now, Noah practices guitar about one to two hours a day. His friends think his love for music can be dramatic at times.   

“He seriously is obsessed with guitar and music in general,” said friend, Gracie White.

Noah writes music for his band and practices weekly, but the group is still working on a name. While he prefers baroque, indie and classic rock, the band plays a garage and psychedelic rock. . He would consider having a band a career, but being a journalist is his back-up plan.

Noah enjoys adding flare and style to what he plays.

“It adds shape and liveliness,” he said, “And that’s what I like.”
